The Mohawk Golf and Country club was founded in 1919 and designed by the famous Scottish golf course designer Donald Ross. The golf course was originally designed as a nine-hole facility, which later turned into a 18 hole golf course with the back-nine being the original Donald Ross design. Currently golf course operates approximately from mid March till the beginning of November. The golf club is private and holds 140 memberships, which allows a day-to-day golf course use without scheduling tee times. The club organizes different outings, junior camps, offers individual golf lessons and offers exceptional dining options. According to the official website (2016), "The Mohawk Golf & Country Club offers an assortment of top notch facilities; Our Pro Shop has much of the hottest gear at terrific prices and if you are hungry before or after your round of golf, be sure to stop in for a delicious bite at the Ross Tavern". |
